Transfer your Pronto service to a new phone

New phone, lucky you! As long as the phone is unlocked and eSIM ready, it’s easy to move your Pronto plan.

  1. Ensure you have a stable Wi-Fi Internet connection on your phone that currently has Pronto service.
  2. Delete your Pronto eSIM.
    • iOS: Go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data). Select the eSIM you want to remove. Tap "Delete eSIM" or "Remove Cellular Plan." Confirm deletion when prompted.
    • Samsung: Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager. Select the eSIM you want to remove. Tap "Remove" or tap the three dots menu and select "Remove." Confirm removal when prompted.
    • Google Pixel: Go to Settings > Network & internet > SIMs. Select the eSIM you want to remove. Tap "Erase SIM" or the trash icon. Confirm deletion when prompted.
    • Other Android phones: Go to Settings > Network & internet (or Connections/Mobile network). Look for "SIM cards," "SIM manager," or "Mobile networks." Select the eSIM you want to remove. Look for the "Remove," "Delete," or "Erase" option. Confirm when prompted.
  3. Wait two minutes.
    • This ensures that Pronto systems are all aware that you deleted your eSIM and can complete the automatic eSIM reset process required for you to use it on a new phone.
  4. Login to your my.prontomobile.com. Select My Services > View and Manage > Setup eSIM. Your QR code will be displayed.
    • NOTE: If you have multiple lines with Pronto, in View and Manage, ensure the correct line is selected.
  5. Complete all Pronto setup steps, first installing your eSIM and then validating your settings. Full setup instructions are available here.
