Have questions?

Let's dive in to the questions most frequently asked.

With Pronto, you get access to – the big three nationwide carriers plus many of the smaller regional providers – with real-time switching to the best available connection. It’s a game-changing service offering unbeatable mobile reliability, available exclusively from Pronto.
Absolutely! Your Pronto plan provides full access to every major carrier's 5G networks plus their legacy networks. Our promise is to keep you connected to the best available signal wherever you are.

For most of the day, your current mobile works as it should: clear calls, zippy messaging—a connection strong enough to get the job done. But when it doesn’t, it’s more than frustrating—it’s a productivity killer costing you time and money. That’s where Pronto comes in.

With traditional carriers, you’re locked into one network. On the go with important work to do and an unstable connection (or no connection)? You’re stuck. Not with Pronto!

Pronto gives you access to all three nationwide networks (and smaller regional providers, too)—with real-time switching so you get the best available connection. That means more coverage, but more importantly, it means 3X the likelihood of a rock-solid connection wherever your work takes you nationwide.

For more information on how Pronto compares, visit our Coverage page—where we dive into:

  • What coverage maps don’t show,

  • What coverage maps shouldn’t show, and

  • How we map what actually matters: rock-solid connectivity that gets the job done.

We’ll be announcing our plans and pricing soon. But here’s what we can share now. Every Pronto plan will include:

  • Access to all major U.S. networks for the price of one with unlimited real-time switching to the best available network

  • Unlimited nationwide talk, text, and data—no cut-offs, no overage charges. You’ll get the fastest-available speeds within your plan’s data allowance, with slower speeds if you go over.

  • Everything you need, like roaming, international calling and texting, and hotspot data—at competitive, transparent rates if not already included in your plan.

  • Real people, responsive support, including chat, email, and phone, plus self-serve help resources available 24/7.
You certainly can! Port your current phone number to Pronto or get a new phone number. The choice is yours. You can even start with a new Pronto phone number and port your existing number later.

Probably, but let’s make sure. There are three requirements:

#1. You need an unlocked phone.

Here’s how to check to see if your phone is locked:

On iPhone: Go to Setting > General > About. Scroll down to Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, your phone is unlocked. If it mentions a carrier, the phone is locked.

On Other Phones: Open the phone dialer and call *#06#. Your phone IMEI will appear on your screen. Enter your IMEI in a credible IMEI-checker site, like IMEI.org or IMEI24.info, to see if the phone is unlocked.

#2. Android phones require OS 15+

To upgrade to Android OS 15 or higher (included in Samsung OneUI7), open Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

#3. You need a phone with eSIM support.

iPhone 11+, Samsung S20+ and most other recent model phones support eSIM.

Not sure about your phone? Open the phone dialer, then call *#06# — if you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM.

If you’d like to use two phone plans (e.g., during your Pronto trial), open the phone dialer, then call *#06#. If you see two IMEI numbers, you’re set if you have an iPhone 13+ and Samsung S24. For earlier models that offer one eSIM and one physical SIM, Pronto will require the eSIM spot.

If only one appears, Pronto will become your primary service (an excellent choice!).

If you purchased your phone from a carrier, it might be locked. If your phone is locked, unless under contractual commitment, your carrier must unlock your phone. For Verizon customers, your phone must be unlocked by Verizon 60 days after purchase.

Still not sure? You can always ask your carrier’s customer service:

  • AT&T: 800-335-4685
  • T-Mobile: 1-800-937-8997
  • Verizon: 1-800-837-4966 (automatically unlocks phones after 60 days)
  • US Cellular: 800-766-9811
Timing can vary based on your location and the quality of available signals—but with Pronto, switching networks can take less than 20 seconds or up to 90 seconds. It’s light-years ahead of the industry standard of hours (if not days). And if you ever lose your connection before the switch is complete, rest assured we’re on it—searching for a better signal to get you back online, Pronto!

Even with Pronto, if none of our partner networks have a cellular signal where you are, there’s no connection—at least for now. We’re just getting started. Expect continued innovation, like satellite services, in the near future.

In the meantime, if you’re not connected, we’ll be constantly searching for a signal. The moment one’s available, Pronto will connect you—automatically.

And as part of our commitment to better mobile for everyone, we'll share insights on trouble zones with our partners to help improve coverage over time.

We're glad you asked. The big guys like to be in control, so it’s not possible to do a “hot hand-off” from one network to another (yet).

If your cellular connection weakens, you can end the call and manually switch networks immediately or wait to see if it improves. If you do lose connection completely, don't worry—we'll automatically start searching for the best available network to get you back online fast. Our goal is that you never have to say “can you hear me now?”

NOTE: If you're using a VoIP (voice over internet protocol) app such as Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype or FaceTime, you may want to switch networks mid-call. Often, the switch is so fast that you're automatically reconnected.

During our initial founder's launch, we’re here for you by email. When early access opens, you’ll be able to reach us by toll-free phone, chat, or email from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, Monday to Friday—and as we grow, so will our hours. You’ll also have access to helpful self-serve resources anytime.

Pronto, the mobile service that works as hard as you.
