Wi-Fi Calling

Included free with all Pronto plans, Wi-Fi calling lets you make and receive calls over Wi-Fi instead of cellular networks. It's a great addition to Pronto's multi-network coverage allowing you to take advantage of a strong and stable Wi-Fi signal when cellular networks just aren’t available. 

How to enable Wi-Fi Calling:
Nothing to do here! We automatically allow calls to your phone over both cellular and Wi-Fi.

Important: All voice calls require the Pronto Mobile app installed on your phone and logged into your account.

e911 / Emergency Calls:
The emergency address that is associated with your phone number is the address you entered when creating your Pronto Mobile account. This is important because it's the location emergency services will be sent if you dial 911 and only Wi-Fi is available. You can update this address by calling our customer support.

Things to know about calling over WiFi:

  • Call quality is dependent on the quality of your Wi-Fi connection and the internet connection behind it
  • Wi-Fi calls route through carrier networks, so calls count towards your regular plan minutes (if applicable) and international calls are charged at international rates 
  • Calls may drop if your device loses its Wi-Fi connection

IMPORTANT:

  • Calls to any US number are included free of charge with all Pronto plans.

  • Calls to international numbers are charged according Pronto’s International calling rate whether made over cellular or Wi-Fi.
